The staff at Ysgol Robert Owen value close liaison with our families and wider community. We believe this is in the best interest of the pupils and community as a whole.
Families are welcome to discuss any issues and to use the daily Communication Systems to maintain close contact with their child’s class teacher and the school.
We hold regular Parents Evenings to discuss the progress of pupils and families can also meet with or contact their child’s class teacher to discuss their child’s progress at any time by prior arrangement.
Annual Reviews of pupils’ IDPs are held each year, and these will be combined with your child’s Care & Support meeting to ensure all stakeholders are fully informed and engaged in supporting your child effectively.
Annual Pupil reports are sent to families in the Summer Term.

The Parents & Friends of Ysgol Robert Owen Special School organisation is a registered charity. By having a child at the school, you automatically become a member. The Parents & Friends organise fund raising and social events.

We have introduced many new ways of contacting our parents this academic year, to try and make it as accessible for everyone as we can. You can sign up for our new communication platform GroupEd to receive emails or notifications through the app, and to contact the school to notify us of an absence or when your child is off school unwell. We also have a new Facebook page to keep you up to date and share good news stories with you all.
Please enquire regarding your GroupEd login at school reception, with your class teacher or via the “Contact Us” form. This is learner specific so we will send you the details you require.
